Start your day by visiting the Valley of the Kings, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Egypt. This magnificent valley was used as a royal burial ground for many pharaohs of the New Kingdom. Among the most famous tombs are those of Thutmose I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II.
Continue to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmose I, who ruled Egypt for approximately 20 years during the 18th Dynasty. The temple is renowned for its unique terraces and impressive architecture, set dramatically against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.
On the way, stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous stone statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. They are the remaining monuments of what was once his magnificent mortuary temple.
Continue to the East Bank of Luxor, where you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, visit the spectacular Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest and most impressive religious complexes in ancient Egypt. The complex was dedicated primarily to Amun, his consort Mut, and their son Khonsu, and was developed over many centuries by successive pharaohs.
End your tour with a visit to the magnificent Luxor Temple, originally built by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty and later completed and expanded by Ramses II. The temple is particularly beautiful at sunset and offers a remarkable insight into the religious and architectural achievements of ancient Egypt.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
