Upon arrival in Luxor, begin your tour on the West Bank by visiting the famous Valley of the Kings, one of Egypt’s most fascinating archaeological sites. The valley served as a royal burial ground for many pharaohs of the New Kingdom and is home to numerous elaborately decorated tombs. Among the most famous are the tombs of Thutmose I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II.
Continue your tour with a visit to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an impressive monument built for Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmose I, who ruled Egypt for approximately 20 years.
Then, cross to the East Bank of Luxor and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the spectacular Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest and most impressive religious complexes in ancient Egypt, dedicated primarily to the Theban triad of Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu.
End your Luxor tour with a visit to Luxor Temple, a magnificent ancient monument originally built during the reign of Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and later completed and expanded by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Aswan.
