At 06:00 AM, you will be met and assisted at your hotel in Luxor by a representative of Holiday Escape, then transferred to Edfu, approximately one hour south of Luxor.
Upon arrival in Edfu, visit the magnificent Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. It is considered one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, Edfu was the site where Horus avenged the death of his father, Osiris, by defeating Seth.
Continue your journey to Kom Ombo, around 45 minutes from Edfu. Upon arrival, visit the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, beautifully situated on elevated ground overlooking the Nile. The temple is unique due to its symmetrical design and two entrances, each dedicated to a different deity: Haroeris, the falcon-headed form of Horus, and Sobek, the crocodile-headed god associated with fertility and creation.
Afterward, continue to Aswan to explore some of its most famous landmarks. Begin with a visit to the High Dam, an impressive engineering achievement constructed in the 1960s to control the annual flooding of the Nile and provide water and electricity for Egypt.
Then, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which provides a fascinating insight into the techniques used by ancient Egyptians to carve and construct massive obelisks. The monument is traditionally associated with Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th Dynasty.
Continue to the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to Goddess Isis, one of the most important deities in ancient Egyptian religion. The temple complex is located on an island and is renowned for its impressive architecture and picturesque setting on the Nile.
After completing your sightseeing in Aswan, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
