At 07:30 AM, a representative of Holiday Escape will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to Edfu, approximately one hour south of Luxor.
Upon arrival in Edfu, you will visit the impressive Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. The temple is considered one of the best-preserved cult temples in Egypt. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, it was the site where Horus fought against Seth to avenge the death of his father, Osiris.
Enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant before continuing your tour to Kom Ombo, approximately 45 minutes from Edfu.
Upon arrival, visit the fascinating Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely situated on elevated ground overlooking the Nile. The temple is distinguished by its double design, with each side dedicated to a different deity: Haroeris, the falcon-headed form of Horus, and Sobek, the crocodile-headed god associated with fertility and creation.
After completing your visit, you will drive back to your hotel in Luxor.
