At 4:00 PM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Aswan by The Holiday Escape representative and transferred to Aswan Train Station to board your overnight train to Cairo. The journey takes approximately 12 hours.
Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by The Holiday Escape representative and start your full-day tour by visiting the famous Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Continue to the Great Sphinx, featuring the head of a Pharaoh with the body of a lion, dating back to the reign of King Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, associated with the Pyramid of Chephren.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo before continuing your tour to the Egyptian Museum, home to an impressive collection of artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum houses thousands of years of Egyptian art and history, including the famous treasures of King Tutankhamun, featuring gold, jewelry, and other priceless artifacts discovered in his tomb in 1922.
Next, continue to Coptic Cairo, where you will explore the rich Christian and Jewish heritage of the area, including the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Afterward, proceed to Islamic Cairo and explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar, where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the old city and browse traditional shops and souvenirs.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Cairo Train Station to board your train back to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be met by The Holiday Escape representative and transferred back to your hotel.
